WELCOME TO THE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The American Polocrosse Association’s Player Development Program (PDP) supports the growth of polocrosse at every level by creating clear pathways for learning, development, and high-level competition. Through education, clinics, and international opportunities, the PDP is committed to building skilled players, confident coaches, and strong representation for the United States—both at home and abroad.
International Program
The International Program provides APA members with opportunities to represent the United States through international competition and cultural exchange. Participants apply, are assessed, and, if selected, take part in training and tours that promote high-level play, sportsmanship, and global connection within the polocrosse community.
Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP)
The Coaching Accreditation Program is part of the American Polocrosse Association’s Player Development Program and is designed to educate, support, and certify coaches at all levels. CAP ensures safe, consistent, and effective coaching across the sport while helping build a strong network of qualified coaches to support player development at clinics, domestic events, and international programs.
Youth Development Program
The Youth Development Program is designed to support and inspire junior polocrosse players under the age of 21 as they grow in skill, confidence, and commitment to the sport. An annual YDP membership demonstrates a player’s dedication to development and provides eligibility to apply for international youth tours, participate in clinics, and take part in our annual Youth Development Camp held each July over the first weekend in Harvest, Alabama. YDP members gain access to structured development opportunities, mentorship, and a pathway toward higher-level play—while building friendships and experiences that extend beyond the field. All registered juniors receive a yearly YDP gift as part of their membership.
Global Connect – Host & Exchange Families
Global Connect helps connect APA families with international players, coaches, and visiting teams through hosting, cultural exchange, and shared polocrosse experiences. By completing this form, families can express interest in hosting or supporting visiting participants and play an important role in welcoming players to the United States while building lifelong international friendships within the polocrosse community.
