  • Recap of the Annual General Meeting

At the AGM, participants considered Why Polocrosse?, Why APA?, and considered the APA strengths and weaknesses.

Reasons members love the sport of polocrosse and the value of the association were easily listed by the board members from facilitating competition, to camaraderie, to focus on family.

The weaknesses list called out APA struggles:
  • To find and hold accountable volunteer leader administrative support on the board and committees
  • To educate members “Why APA?” The services and opportunities, from insurance, to Standards of Play, to Umpires to Ratings, to being part of a worldwide community needs to be better communicated to members.
  • To fund the increasing cost of administering the association as APA strives to keep the membership fees from increasing.
